Jenn and Xan Spencer

Adoption has been on our hearts for quite some time and is now becoming a reality!  After months of talking, planning, choosing an agency, etc., we were accepted as potential adoptive parents through an adoption facilitator in California.  We were thrilled to be given the chance to work with them since they do so much for birth moms (counseling, financial assistance, lots of love and care!) and they have been such a blessing to work with as we wait for our child.

Within a week of committing to pursue an open, domestic adoption with this agency, we found out we were pregnant!  What a DOUBLE blessing!!  We are super excited on both accounts and overjoyed at the thought of having two children so close together in age.

As we continue our adoption journey, we are doing all we can to help fundraise for the fees associated with this (which will be close to $30,000).  We know that adoption is something we both feel called to do and realize that although this might seem like a large amount, the Lord will provide and will allow us to use our gifts and talents to do our best in raising these funds.

Our immediate need is simply to raise $5,000 by July 20th.  Our second goal is to raise another $5,000 by October 31st.

Here’s what we have planned so far:

** An online auction to be held September 30-October 6 – See THIS POST if you have something to donate!

** The opportunity to accept small donations as “tips” for the hair bow instructional videos I’m posting on this blog every week for the next few months – See THESE POSTS if you want to view the videos and participate
